Clontarf Historical Society Talk by Padraig Laffan
Clontarf Historical Society Talk by Padraig Laffan entitled ‘From ‘Baile Átha Cliath’ or ‘The Ford of the Hurdles’ to the Kish light’. His talk, under the above title, examines, with pictures, drawings, maps, and charts the beginning of settlement along the river Liffey eventually becoming not only Dublin city, but also its great port.
He also examines the great engineering feat of the construction and placing of the radical Kish Light,now 30 years on site.
Talk starts at 8:15 pm in the Parish Resource Centre, St John the Baptist, Clontarf Road .€4 entry fee for non members.
